The ‘Access for All’ project was funded by a grant of €125,000 from the European Commission. VisitEngland partnered with 7 destinations to develop and promote their offering for visitors with access needs. As part of this,

56 businesses were involved in a process to improve their accessibility.

The project included an access audit for each business, accessibility awareness training for staff, a mystery shop of their venue and the production of a number of accessibility information guides. Following this a media marketing campaign promoted the destinations and their accessible offering nationally.

Access For all UK were part of the consortium of three businesses which was commissioned by VisitEgland to design and deliver the Access For All training to the businesses within the project.

In addition, our mystery shoppers visited a number of the venues within the project to provide feedback on the information, facilities and customer services on offer at each stage of the customer journey.

The fantastic outcomes of the project, which generated £32 million incremental spend, are summarised in this comprehensive VisitEngland report.
